52 Then he added, “Those experts in Jewish law who are now my disciples have double treasures—from the Old Testament as well as from the New!”[a]
53-54 When Jesus had finished giving these illustrations, he returned to his hometown, Nazareth in Galilee,[b] and taught there in the synagogue and astonished everyone with his wisdom and his miracles.

53 When Jesus had finished these parables,(B) he moved on from there. 54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue,(C) and they were amazed.(D) “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked.
