Jesus Is Rejected at Nazareth(A)
53 When Jesus finished telling these parables, he left that place 54 and went back to his hometown. He taught in the synagogue, and those who heard him were amazed. “Where did he get such wisdom?” they asked. “And what about his miracles? 55 Isn't he the carpenter's son? Isn't Mary his mother, and aren't James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas his brothers?

53 When Jesus had finished these parables,(B) he moved on from there. 54 Coming to his hometown, he began teaching the people in their synagogue,(C) and they were amazed.(D) “Where did this man get this wisdom and these miraculous powers?” they asked. 55 “Isn’t this the carpenter’s son?(E) Isn’t his mother’s(F) name Mary, and aren’t his brothers(G) James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?
