⁴^(A)Jesus answered, “Haven't you read the scripture that says that in the beginning the Creator made people male and female?

⁴“Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’^[a]^(A)

⁶^(A)But in the beginning, at the time of creation, ‘God made them male and female,’ as the scripture says.
