Matthew 19:4-6
American Standard Version
4 And he answered and said, Have ye not read, [a]that he who [b]made them from the beginning made them male and female, 5 and said, [c]For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh? 6 So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Matthew 19:4-6
New International Version
4 “Haven’t you read,” he replied, “that at the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’[a](A) 5 and said, ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh’[b]?(B) 6 So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate.”
