32 For John came to you on the righteous road, and you didn’t believe him. But tax collectors and prostitutes believed him. Yet even after you saw this, you didn’t change your hearts and lives and you didn’t believe him.
Parable of the tenant farmers
33 “Listen to another parable. There was a landowner who planted a vineyard. He put a fence around it, dug a winepress in it, and built a tower. Then he rented it to tenant farmers and took a trip. 34 When it was time for harvest, he sent his servants to the tenant farmers to collect his fruit.

32 For John came to you to show you the way of righteousness,(A) and you did not believe him, but the tax collectors(B) and the prostitutes(C) did. And even after you saw this, you did not repent(D) and believe him.

33 “Listen to another parable: There was a landowner who planted(F) a vineyard. He put a wall around it, dug a winepress in it and built a watchtower.(G) Then he rented the vineyard to some farmers and moved to another place.(H) 34 When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants(I) to the tenants to collect his fruit.
