The Great Tribulation

¹⁵ “So when you see the abomination that causes desolation,^[a][b] spoken of by the prophet Daniel,^(A) standing in the holy place”^(B) (let the reader understand^[c]),

⁵⁸ They threw him out of the city and began to stone^(A) him. And the witnesses laid their robes at the feet of a young man named Saul.^(B)

²⁸ shouting, “Men of Israel, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What’s more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has profaned this holy place.”^(A)

⁸ while Paul made the defense that, “Neither against the Jewish law,^(A) nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I sinned at all.”
