²⁶ As they were eating,^(A) Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, gave it to the disciples,^(B) and said, “Take and eat it; this is my body.”^(C)

²² As^(A) they were eating, he took bread,^(B) blessed and broke^(C) it, gave it to them,^(D) and said, “Take it; this is my body.”^(E)

¹⁹ And he took bread, gave thanks, broke it, gave it to them, and said, “This is my body,^(A) which is given for you. Do this in remembrance ^(B) of me.”

A Generous and Growing Church

⁴² They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching,^(A) to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.^(B)

⁴⁶ Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts,^(A)
