Matthew 26:67-69

International Standard Version

⁶⁷Then they spit in his face and hit him. Some slapped him, ⁶⁸saying, “Prophesy to us, you Messiah!^[a] Who hit^[b] you?”

⁶⁹Now Peter was sitting outside in the courtyard when a servant girl came up to him and said, “You, too, were with Jesus the Galilean.”

⁶⁷Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists.^(A) Others slapped him ⁶⁸and said, “Prophesy to us, Messiah. Who hit you?”^(B)

⁶⁹Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said.

⁶⁷Then did they spit in his face, and buffeted him; and others smote him with the palms of their hands,

⁶⁸Saying, Prophesy unto us, thou Christ, Who is he that smote thee?

⁶⁹Now Peter sat without in the palace: and a damsel came unto him, saying, Thou also wast with Jesus of Galilee.
