⁶⁷Then they spat in His face and punched Him. And others struck Him with rods,

⁶⁸saying, “Prophesy to us, O Christ, Who struck you?”

⁶⁹Peter sat outside in the hall. And a maid came to him, saying, “You were also with Jesus of Galilee.”

⁶⁷Then they spit in his face and struck him with their fists.^(A) Others slapped him ⁶⁸and said, “Prophesy to us, Messiah. Who hit you?”^(B)

⁶⁹Now Peter was sitting out in the courtyard, and a servant girl came to him. “You also were with Jesus of Galilee,” she said.
