21 Now having responded, the governor said to them, “Which of the two do you want me to release for you?” And the ones said, “Barabbas”. 22 Pilate says to them, “Then what should I do as to Jesus, the One being called Christ?” They all say, “Let Him be crucified!” 23 But the one said, “What indeed[a] did He do wrong?” But the ones were crying out even more, saying, “Let Him be crucified!”

21 “Which of the two do you want me to release to you?” asked the governor.
“Barabbas,” they answered.
22 “What shall I do, then, with Jesus who is called the Messiah?”(A) Pilate asked.
They all answered, “Crucify him!”
23 “Why? What crime has he committed?” asked Pilate.
But they shouted all the louder, “Crucify him!”
