3 ¶ [a]Then when Judas which betrayed him, saw that he was condemned, he repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief Priests, and Elders,
4 Saying, I have sinned, betraying the innocent blood. But they said, What is that to us? see thou to it.
5 And when he had cast down the silver pieces in the Temple, he [b]departed, and went, (A)and hanged himself.

New International Version
3 When Judas, who had betrayed him,(A) saw that Jesus was condemned, he was seized with remorse and returned the thirty pieces of silver(B) to the chief priests and the elders. 4 “I have sinned,” he said, “for I have betrayed innocent blood.”
“What is that to us?” they replied. “That’s your responsibility.”(C)
5 So Judas threw the money into the temple(D) and left. Then he went away and hanged himself.(E)
