5 When He saw the crowds, He went up on the mountain,^(A) and after He sat down, His disciples came to Him.

5 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him,

⁷He then said to the crowds who came out to be baptized by him, “Brood of vipers!^(A) Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?

⁷John said to the crowds coming out to be baptized by him, “You brood of vipers!^(A) Who warned you to flee from the coming wrath?^(B)
