45 that ye may be [the] sons of your Father who is in [the] heavens; for he makes his sun rise on evil and good, and sends rain on just and unjust.
46 For if ye should love those who love you, what reward have ye? Do not also the tax-gatherers the same?
47 And if ye should salute your brethren only, what do ye extraordinary? Do not also the Gentiles the same?

45 that you may be children(A) of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous.(B) 46 If you love those who love you, what reward will you get?(C) Are not even the tax collectors doing that? 47 And if you greet only your own people, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that?
