Jesus Saves Men from Demons

^28 (A)And when He came to the other side, into the region of the Gadarenes, two men who were ^(B)demon-possessed met Him as they were coming out of the tombs. They were so extremely violent that no one could pass by that way.

³³ Now the herdsmen ran away, and went to the city and reported everything, ^[a]including what had happened to the ^(A)demoniacs.

³² Now as they were going out, behold, ^(A)a mute, ^(B)demon-possessed man ^[a]was brought to Him.

A Kingdom Divided

^22 (A)Then a ^(B)demon-possessed man who was blind and mute was brought to ^[a]Jesus, and He healed him, so that the mute man spoke and saw.

²² And behold, a Canaanite woman from that region came out and began to cry out, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, ^(A)Son of David; my daughter is cruelly ^(B)demon-possessed.”

^32 (A)Now when evening came, ^(B)after the sun had set, they began bringing to Him all who were ill and those who were ^(C)demon-possessed.

¹⁵ And they *came to Jesus and *observed the ^(A)demon-possessed man sitting down, ^(B)clothed and ^(C)in his right mind, the very man who had the “^(D)legion”; and they became frightened. ¹⁶ And those who had seen it recounted to them how this had happened to the ^(E)demon-possessed man, and all about the swine.

^18 (A)And as He was getting into the boat, the man who had been ^(B)demon-possessed was pleading with Him that he might ^[a]accompany Him.
