Suddenly someone with a virulent skin disease approached, and knelt down in front of him.

“Master,” he said, “if you want, you can make me clean!”

Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him.

“I do want to,” he said. “Be clean!” At once his disease was cured.

“Take care,” Jesus said to him, “not to say anything to anyone. Instead, go and show yourself to the priest, and make the offering which Moses commanded. That will be a proof to them.”

A man with leprosy[a](A) came and knelt before him(B) and said, “Lord, if you are willing, you can make me clean.”

Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. “I am willing,” he said. “Be clean!” Immediately he was cleansed of his leprosy. Then Jesus said to him, “See that you don’t tell anyone.(C) But go, show yourself to the priest(D) and offer the gift Moses commanded,(E) as a testimony to them.”
