The Righteous Will Live by Faith

¹⁶ For I am not ashamed of the gospel,^[a](A) because it is God’s power for salvation^(B) to everyone who believes, first to the Jew,^(C) and also to the Greek.^(D)

Not Ashamed of the Gospel

⁸ So don’t be ashamed^(A) of the testimony about our Lord,^(B) or of me His prisoner.^(C) Instead, share in suffering for the gospel, relying on the power^(D) of God.

¹⁶ But they now desire a better place—a heavenly one. Therefore God is not ashamed to be called their God, for He has prepared a city for them.^(A)

God’s Children

²⁸ So now, little children, remain in Him, so that when He appears^(A) we may have boldness and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.^(B)
