Jesus Sends Out the Twelve Apostles

^5 (A)These twelve Jesus sent out, instructing them, “Go nowhere among the Gentiles and enter no town of ^(B)the Samaritans,

⁷ And proclaim as you go, saying, ^(A)‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ ^8 (B)Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse lepers,^[a] cast out demons. ^(C)You received without paying; give without pay.

¹¹ When the crowds learned it, they followed him, and he ^(A)welcomed them and ^(B)spoke to them of the kingdom of God and ^(C)cured those who needed healing.

Jesus Sends Out the Seventy-Two

10 After this the Lord appointed ^(A)seventy-two^[a] others and ^(B)sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go.

⁹ Heal the sick in it and say to them, ^(A)‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’
