¹⁹ The Son of Man came eating and drinking, and they say, ‘Look, a glutton and a drunkard,^(A) a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’^(B) Yet wisdom is vindicated^[a] by her deeds.”^[b]

³⁰ But the Pharisees and their scribes^(A) were complaining to His disciples, “Why do you eat and drink with tax collectors and sinners?”

² And the Pharisees and scribes were complaining, “This man welcomes sinners^(A) and eats with them!”
