¹⁴ But the Pharisees went out and plotted against Him, how they might destroy Him.^(A)

⁴ and they conspired to arrest Jesus in a treacherous way and kill Him.^(A)

Jesus Handed Over to Pilate

27 When daybreak came, all the chief priests and the elders of the people plotted against Jesus to put Him to death.^(A)

⁶ Immediately the Pharisees^(A) went out and started plotting^(B) with the Herodians^(C) against Him, how they might destroy^(D) Him.

The Plot to Kill Jesus

14 After^(A) two days it was the Passover^(B) and the Festival^(C) of Unleavened Bread.^(D) The chief priests and the scribes^(E) were looking for a treacherous^(F) way to arrest and kill Him.^(G)

¹¹ They, however, were filled with rage and started discussing with one another what they might do to Jesus.

The Unbelief of Jesus’ Brothers

7 After this, Jesus traveled in Galilee,^(A) since He did not want to travel in Judea^(B) because the Jews^(C) were trying to kill Him.^(D)

¹⁹ Didn’t Moses^(A) give you the law? Yet none of you keeps the law!^(B) Why do you want to kill Me?”

³³ “We aren’t stoning^(A) You for a good work,” the Jews answered, “but for blasphemy, because You—being a man—make Yourself God.”

⁵³ So from that day on they plotted to kill Him.^(A)
