² After agreeing with the labourers for a denarius^[a] a day, he sent them into his vineyard.

¹⁹ Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius.^[a]

³⁷ But he answered them, ^(A)“You give them something to eat.” And ^(B)they said to him, ^(C)“Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii^[a] worth of bread and give it to them to eat?”

⁵ For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii^[a] and ^(A)given to the poor.” And they ^(B)scolded her.

⁴¹ “A certain money-lender had two debtors. One owed five hundred ^(A)denarii, and the other fifty.

³⁵ And the next day he took out two ^(A)denarii^[a] and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, ‘Take care of him, and whatever more you spend, I will repay you when I come back.’
