The Great Tribulation

¹⁵ “So when you see the abomination of desolation,^[a] spoken of by the prophet Daniel,^(A) standing in the holy place”^(B) (let the reader understand),

⁵⁸ They dragged him out of the city and began to stone^(A) him. And the witnesses laid their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.^(B)

²⁸ shouting, “Fellow Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches everyone everywhere against our people, our law, and this place. What’s more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.”^(A)

⁸ Then Paul made his defense: “Neither against the Jewish law,^(A) nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I sinned in any way.”
