⁴¹ Stay awake and pray, so that you won’t enter into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

¹³ No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to humanity. God is faithful,^(A) and He will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation He will also provide a way of escape^(B) so that you are able to bear it.

⁹ then the Lord knows how to rescue^(A) the godly from trials and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment,^(B)
