²³Jesus was going all over Galilee,^(A) teaching in their synagogues, preaching the good news of the kingdom, and healing every^[a] disease and sickness among the people.^(B) ²⁴Then the news about Him spread throughout Syria.^(C) So they brought to Him all those who were afflicted, those suffering from various diseases and intense pains, the demon-possessed, the epileptics, and the paralytics.^(D) And He healed them. ²⁵Large crowds followed Him from Galilee, Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.^(E)

⁴²When it was day, He went out and made His way to a deserted place.^(A) But the crowds were searching for Him. They came to Him and tried to keep Him from leaving them. ⁴³But He said to them, “I must proclaim the good news about the kingdom of God to the other towns also, because I was sent for this purpose.” ⁴⁴And He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.^[a]^(B)
