^22 (A)Many will say to Me on ^(B)that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many ^[a]miracles?’

²² Nevertheless I say to you, ^(A)it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon on ^(B)the day of judgment than for you.

²⁴ Nevertheless I say to you that ^(A)it will be more tolerable for the land of ^(B)Sodom on the day of judgment, than for you.”

³⁶ But I tell you that for every ^[a]careless word that people ^[b]speak, they will give an account of it on the ^(A)day of judgment.

³¹ because He has set ^(A)a day on which ^(B)He will judge ^[a](C)the world in righteousness ^[b]through a Man whom He has ^(D)appointed, having furnished proof to all people ^[c]by ^(E)raising Him from the dead.”

⁴ But you, brothers and sisters, are not in ^(A)darkness, so that the day would overtake you ^[a](B)like a thief;

²⁵ not abandoning our own ^(A)meeting together, as is the habit of some people, but ^(B)encouraging one another; and all the more as you see ^(C)the day drawing near.

^9 (A)then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from ^[a]a trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment for the ^(B)day of judgment,

⁷ But by His word ^(A)the present heavens and earth are being reserved for ^(B)fire, kept for ^(C)the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly people.
