Micah 1:7-9
New American Standard Bible

7 All of her (A)idols will be crushed,
All of her earnings will be burned with fire,
And all of her images I will make desolate;
For she collected them from a (B)prostitute’s earnings,
And to the earnings of a prostitute they will return.

8 Because of this I must mourn and wail,
I must go (C)barefoot and naked;
I must do mourning like the (D)jackals,
And a mourning like the ostriches.
9 For her (E)wound is incurable,
For (F)it has come to Judah;
It has reached the (G)gate of my people,
Even to Jerusalem.

New International Version

7 All her idols(A) will be broken to pieces;(B)
    all her temple gifts will be burned with fire;
    I will destroy all her images.(C)
Since she gathered her gifts from the wages of prostitutes,(D)
    as the wages of prostitutes they will again be used.”

Weeping and Mourning

8 Because of this I will weep(E) and wail;
    I will go about barefoot(F) and naked.
I will howl like a jackal
    and moan like an owl.
9 For Samaria’s plague(G) is incurable;(H)
    it has spread to Judah.(I)
It has reached the very gate(J) of my people,
    even to Jerusalem itself.
