Does the Lord take pleasure in (A)thousands of rams,
In ten thousand rivers of [a]oil?
Shall I give Him my (B)firstborn for my wrongdoings,
The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?
He has (C)told you, mortal one, what is good;
And (D)what does the Lord require of you
But to (E)do justice, to (F)love [b]kindness,
And to walk [c](G)humbly with your God?

The voice of the Lord will call to the city—
And it is sound wisdom to fear Your name:
