17 They will (A)lick the dust like a serpent,
Like (B)crawling things of the earth.
They will come (C)trembling out of their [a]fortresses;
To Yahweh our God they will come in (D)dread,
And they will be afraid before You.
18 Who is a God like You, who (E)forgives iniquity
And passes over the transgression of the (F)remnant of His inheritance?
He does not (G)hold fast to His anger forever
Because He (H)delights in lovingkindness.
19 He will again have compassion on us;
(I)He will subdue our iniquities.
And You will (J)cast all [b]their sins
Into the depths of the sea.
