7 We Israelites have been very bad to you. We have not obeyed the commands, rules, and laws you gave your servant Moses.
8 “Please remember the teaching you gave your servant Moses. You said to him, ‘If you Israelites are not faithful, I will force you to be scattered among the other nations. 9 But if you Israelites come back to me and obey my commands, this is what I will do: Even if your people have been forced to leave their homes and go to the ends of the earth, I will gather them from there. And I will bring them back to the place I have chosen to put my name.’

7 We have acted very wickedly(A) toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.
8 “Remember(B) the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter(C) you among the nations, 9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather(D) them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.’(E)
