35 (A)We will take to the Temple each year an offering of the first grain we harvest and of the first fruit that ripens on our trees.

36 (B)The first son born to each of us we will take to the priests in the Temple and there, as required by the Law, dedicate him to God. We will also dedicate the first calf born to each of our cows, and the first lamb or kid born to each of our sheep or goats.

37 (C)We will take to the priests in the Temple the dough made from the first grain harvested each year and our other offerings of wine, olive oil, and all kinds of fruit.

We will take to the Levites, who collect tithes in our farming villages, the tithes from the crops that grow on our land.

35 “We also assume responsibility for bringing to the house of the Lord each year the firstfruits(A) of our crops and of every fruit tree.(B)

36 “As it is also written in the Law, we will bring the firstborn(C) of our sons and of our cattle, of our herds and of our flocks to the house of our God, to the priests ministering there.(D)

37 “Moreover, we will bring to the storerooms of the house of our God, to the priests, the first of our ground meal, of our grain offerings, of the fruit of all our trees and of our new wine and olive oil.(E) And we will bring a tithe(F) of our crops to the Levites,(G) for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in all the towns where we work.(H)
