26 (A)“Nevertheless, they were disobedient and rebelled against you (B)and cast your law behind their back (C)and killed your prophets, who (D)had warned them in order to turn them back to you, (E)and they committed great blasphemies. 27 (F)Therefore you gave them into the hand of their enemies, who made them suffer. (G)And in the time of their suffering they cried out to you and you heard them from heaven, and according to your great mercies you gave them (H)saviours who saved them from the hand of their enemies.

10 (A)and have not obeyed the voice of the Lord our God by walking in his laws, which he set before us by (B)his servants the prophets. 11 (C)All Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, (D)refusing to obey your voice. (E)And the curse and oath (F)that are written in the Law of (G)Moses the servant of God have been poured out upon us, because (H)we have sinned against him. 12 He has confirmed his words, which he spoke against us and against (I)our rulers who ruled us,[a] by (J)bringing upon us a great calamity. (K)For under the whole heaven there has not been done anything like what has been done against Jerusalem. 13 (L)As it is written in the Law of Moses, all this calamity has come upon us; yet we have not entreated the favour of the Lord our God, (M)turning from our iniquities and gaining insight by your truth. 14 (N)Therefore the Lord has kept ready the calamity and has brought it upon us, (O)for the Lord our God is righteous in all the works that he has done, and (P)we have not obeyed his voice.
