¹⁵If this is how you are going to treat me, please go ahead and kill me^(A)—if I have found favor in your eyes—and do not let me face my own ruin.”

¹⁵And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.

²²In my alarm^(A) I said,
“I am cut off^(B) from your sight!”
Yet you heard my cry^(C) for mercy
when I called to you for help.

²²For I said in my haste, I am cut off from before thine eyes: nevertheless thou heardest the voice of my supplications when I cried unto thee.
