42 Don’t go up, for Yahweh isn’t among you; that way you won’t be struck down before your enemies. 43 For there the Amalekite and the Canaanite are before you, and you will fall by the sword because you turned back from following Yahweh; therefore Yahweh will not be with you.”
44 But they presumed to go up to the top of the mountain. Nevertheless, the ark of Yahweh’s covenant and Moses didn’t depart out of the camp.

42 Do not go up, because the Lord is not with you. You will be defeated by your enemies,(A) 43 for the Amalekites(B) and the Canaanites(C) will face you there. Because you have turned away from the Lord, he will not be with you(D) and you will fall by the sword.”
44 Nevertheless, in their presumption they went up(E) toward the highest point in the hill country, though neither Moses nor the ark of the Lord’s covenant moved from the camp.(F)
