3 give the Lord offerings made by fire. These may be from your herds or flocks, as a smell pleasing to the Lord. These may be burnt offerings [Lev. 1:1–17] or sacrifices for ·special promises [a vow], or as gifts to him, or as festival offerings. 4 The one who brings the offering shall also give the Lord a ·grain [L gift; tribute] offering [Lev. 2:1]. It should be ·two quarts [L one-tenth of an ephah] of ·fine [choice] flour mixed with ·one quart [L one-fourth of a hin] of olive oil. 5 Each time you offer a lamb as a burnt offering [Lev. 1:1–17] or sacrifice, also prepare ·one quart [L one-fourth of a hin] of wine as a drink offering.

3 and you present to the Lord food offerings from the herd or the flock,(A) as an aroma pleasing to the Lord(B)—whether burnt offerings(C) or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings(D) or festival offerings(E)— 4 then the person who brings an offering shall present to the Lord a grain offering(F) of a tenth of an ephah[a] of the finest flour(G) mixed with a quarter of a hin[b] of olive oil. 5 With each lamb(H) for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine(I) as a drink offering.(J)
