Numbers 16:29-31

²⁹If these men die ^[a]the death of all men or ^[b]if they suffer the ^(A)fate of all men, then the Lord has not sent me. ³⁰But ^(B)if the Lord ^[c]brings about an entirely new thing and the ground opens its mouth and swallows them up with all that is theirs, and they ^(C)descend alive into ^[d]Sheol, then you will understand that these men have spurned the Lord.”

³¹As he finished speaking all these words, the ground that was under them split open;

New International Version

²⁹If these men die a natural death and suffer the fate of all mankind, then the Lord has not sent me.^(A) ³⁰But if the Lord brings about something totally new, and the earth opens its mouth^(B) and swallows them, with everything that belongs to them, and they go down alive into the realm of the dead,^(C) then you will know that these men have treated the Lord with contempt.^(D)”
