⁴⁰ as a ^[a]memorial to the sons of Israel that ^(A)no ^[b]outsider who is not of the seed of Aaron should come near ^(B)to burn incense before Yahweh; so that he will not become like Korah and his congregation—just as Yahweh had spoken to him by the hand of Moses.

⁷ But you and your sons with you shall ^(A)keep your priesthood in everything that concerns the altar and inside the veil, and you are to perform service. I am giving you the priesthood as ^(B)a ^[a]bestowed service, but ^(C)the ^[b]outsider who comes near shall be put to death.”

^18 (A)And they stood against Uzziah the king and said to him, “^(B)It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to Yahweh, ^(C)but for the priests, the sons of Aaron who are set apart as holy to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have been unfaithful and will have no honor from Yahweh God.”
