Numbers 16:40
New American Standard Bible
40 as a reminder to the sons of Israel so that (A)no [a]layman, anyone who was not of the [b]descendants of Aaron, would approach (B)to burn incense before the Lord; then he would not become like Korah and his group—just as the Lord had spoken to him [c]through Moses.

40 as the Lord directed him through Moses. This was to remind the Israelites that no one except a descendant of Aaron should come to burn incense(A) before the Lord,(B) or he would become like Korah and his followers.(C)
