So Moses deposited the rods before the Lord in the Tent of the Testimony (tabernacle).

Now on the next day Moses went into the Tent of the Testimony, and [a]the rod of Aaron of the tribe of Levi had sprouted and put out buds and produced blossoms and yielded [ripe] almonds. Moses brought out all the rods from the presence of Lord to all the Israelites; and they looked, and each man took his rod.

Moses placed the staffs before the Lord in the tent of the covenant law.(A)

The next day Moses entered the tent(B) and saw that Aaron’s staff,(C) which represented the tribe of Levi, had not only sprouted but had budded, blossomed and produced almonds.(D) Then Moses brought out all the staffs(E) from the Lord’s presence to all the Israelites. They looked at them, and each of the leaders took his own staff.
