18 ¶ [a]The standard of the camp of Ephraim shall be toward the West according to their armies: and the captain over the sons of Ephraim shall be Elishama the son of Ammihud:
19 And his host and the number of them were forty thousand and five hundred.
20 And by him shall be the tribe of Manasseh and the captain over the sons of Manasseh, shall be Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur:

18 On the west(A) will be the divisions of the camp of Ephraim(B) under their standard. The leader of the people of Ephraim is Elishama son of Ammihud.(C) 19 His division numbers 40,500.
20 The tribe of Manasseh(D) will be next to them. The leader of the people of Manasseh is Gamaliel son of Pedahzur.(E)
