¹⁰ and Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly before the rock. And he said to them, “^(A)Listen now, you rebels; shall we bring forth water for you out of this rock?” ¹¹ Then Moses raised high his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and ^(B)water came forth abundantly, and the congregation and their beasts drank.

¹⁵ He led you through ^(A)the great and fearsome wilderness, with its ^(B)fiery serpents and scorpions and thirsty ground where there was no water; He ^(C)brought water for you out of the rock of flint.

⁴ and all ^(A)drank the same spiritual drink, for they were drinking from a spiritual rock which followed them, and the rock was ^[a]Christ.
