Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned: for we have spoken against the Lord, and against thee: pray to the Lord, that he take away the serpents from us: and Moses prayed for the people.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it up for a [a]sign, that as many as are bitten, may look upon it, and live.

(A)So Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it up for a sign: and when a serpent had bitten a man, then he looked to the serpent of brass, and [b]lived.

The people came to Moses(A) and said, “We sinned(B) when we spoke against the Lord and against you. Pray that the Lord(C) will take the snakes away from us.” So Moses prayed(D) for the people.

The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole;(E) anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” So Moses made a bronze snake(F) and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.(G)
