8 And the Lord said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it up for a [a]sign, that as many as are bitten, may look upon it, and live.
9 (A)So Moses made a serpent of brass, and set it up for a sign: and when a serpent had bitten a man, then he looked to the serpent of brass, and [b]lived.
10 (B)And the children of Israel departed thence, and pitched in Oboth.

8 The Lord said to Moses, “Make a snake and put it up on a pole;(A) anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.” 9 So Moses made a bronze snake(B) and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.(C)
