Numbers 22:33-35

33 The donkey saw me and turned aside before me these three times. If she had not turned aside from me, surely just now I would have killed you and let her live.” 34 Then Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, (A)“I have sinned, for I did not know that you stood in the road against me. Now therefore, if it is evil in your sight, I will turn back.” 35 And the angel of the Lord said to Balaam, “Go with the men, (B)but speak only the word that I tell you.” So Balaam went on with the princes of Balak.

New International Version
33 The donkey saw me and turned away from me these three times. If it had not turned away, I would certainly have killed you by now,(A) but I would have spared it.”
34 Balaam said to the angel of the Lord, “I have sinned.(B) I did not realize you were standing in the road to oppose me. Now if you are displeased, I will go back.”
35 The angel of the Lord said to Balaam, “Go with the men, but speak only what I tell you.” So Balaam went with Balak’s officials.
