Numbers 23:17-19
New English Translation
17 When Balaam[a] came to him, he was still standing by his burnt offering, along with the princes of Moab. And Balak said to him, “What has the Lord spoken?”
Balaam Prophesies Again
18 Balaam[b] uttered[c] his oracle, and said,
“Rise up,[d] Balak, and hear;
Listen to me, son of Zippor:
19 God is not a man, that he should lie,
nor a human being,[e] that he should change his mind.
Has he said, and will he not do it?
Or has he spoken, and will he not make it happen?[f]

17 So he went to him and found him standing beside his offering, with the Moabite officials.(A) Balak asked him, “What did the Lord say?”
