¹⁷ who ^(A)will go out ^[a]and come in before them, and lead them out and ^[b]bring them in, so that the congregation of the Lord will not be ^(B)like sheep that have no shepherd.”

¹⁷ So he said,

⁵ They ^(A)scattered for lack of a shepherd, and they became ^(B)food for every animal of the field and scattered.

⁵ Since you have had everlasting ^(B)hostility and have turned over the sons of Israel to the power of the sword at the time of their disaster, at the time of the ^[a](C)punishment of the end, ⁶ therefore as I live,” declares the Lord God, “I will certainly ^[b]doom you to ^(D)bloodshed, and bloodshed will pursue you; since you have not hated bloodshed, therefore bloodshed will pursue you. ⁷ I will make Mount Seir a waste and a desolation and I will eliminate from it one who passes through and returns. ⁸ I will ^(E)fill its mountains with its slain; those killed by the sword will fall on your hills, in your valleys, and in all your ravines.

^36 (A)Seeing the crowds, He felt compassion for them, ^(B)because they were ^[a]distressed and downcast, like sheep ^[b]without a shepherd.

³⁴ When Jesus went ^[a]ashore, He ^(A)saw a large crowd, and He felt compassion for them because ^(B)they were like sheep without a shepherd; and He began to teach them many things.
