12 except Caleb the son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite, and Joshua the son of Nun, because they completely followed the Lord.’ 13 The anger of the Lord was inflamed against Israel, and He made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until all the generation that did evil in the eyes of the Lord was finished.
14 “Behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, an increase of sinful men, to increase more the burning anger of the Lord toward Israel.

12 not one except Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite and Joshua son of Nun, for they followed the Lord wholeheartedly.’(A) 13 The Lord’s anger burned against Israel(B) and he made them wander in the wilderness forty years, until the whole generation of those who had done evil in his sight was gone.(C)
14 “And here you are, a brood of sinners, standing in the place of your fathers and making the Lord even more angry with Israel.(D)
