38 Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor when the Lord commanded him to. That’s where he died. It happened on the first day of the fifth month. It was the 40th year after the Israelites came out of Egypt. 39 Aaron was 123 years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 The Canaanite king of Arad lived in the Negev Desert in Canaan. He heard that the Israelites were coming.

38 At the Lord’s command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died(A) on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year(B) after the Israelites came out of Egypt.(C) 39 Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.
40 The Canaanite king(D) of Arad,(E) who lived in the Negev(F) of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.
