51 the following instructions for Israel: “When you cross the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 52 you must drive out all the inhabitants of the land. Destroy all their stone and metal idols and all their places of worship. 53 Occupy the land and settle in it, because I am giving it to you.

51 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you cross the Jordan into Canaan,(A) 52 drive out all the inhabitants of the land before you. Destroy all their carved images and their cast idols, and demolish all their high places.(B) 53 Take possession of the land and settle in it, for I have given you the land to possess.(C)
