Numbers 35:11-13
International Children’s Bible

11 You must choose cities to be cities of safety. If a person accidentally kills someone, he may run to them for safety. 12 There he will be safe from the dead person’s relative who has the duty of punishing the killer. He will not die before he is judged in court. 13 The six cities you give will be cities of safety.

New International Version

11 select some towns to be your cities of refuge, to which a person who has killed someone(A) accidentally(B) may flee. 12 They will be places of refuge from the avenger,(C) so that anyone accused of murder(D) may not die before they stand trial before the assembly.(E) 13 These six towns you give will be your cities of refuge.(F)
