⁵ “And when the camp sets out, Aaron and his sons shall go in and they shall take down ^(A)the veil of the screen and cover the ^(B)ark of the testimony with it; ⁶ and they shall put a ^(C)covering of porpoise skin on it and shall spread over it a cloth of pure ^[a]blue and shall insert its poles.

¹⁵ When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is to set out, after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them, so that they will not touch the holy objects ^(A)and die. These are the ^[a]things in the tent of meeting which the sons of Kohath are to carry.

^8 (A)At that time Yahweh set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, to stand before Yahweh ^(B)to minister for Him and to bless in His name to this day.

²⁵ that Moses commanded the Levites ^(A)who carried the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, saying, ²⁶ “Take this book of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God, that it may be there as a witness against you.

³ and they commanded the people, saying, “When you see the ^(A)ark of the covenant of Yahweh your God with the Levitical priests carrying it, then you shall set out from your place and go after it.
