³⁴ When He killed them, then they ^(A)sought Him,
And they returned and searched ^(B)diligently for God;

¹⁶ Lord, they sought You ^(A)in distress;
They ^[a]could only whisper a prayer,
Your discipline was upon them.

¹⁵ I will go away and return to My place
Until they ^[a](A)acknowledge their guilt and seek My face;
In their distress they will ^(B)search for Me.
